I became a fan of Megan in 2019. I don’t remember the exact date, but it was around the time Big Ole Freak started gaining traction. I kept hearing the song on the radio and thought, "Who is this? I need to hear more of her music." That’s when I fell in love with her.

I can’t choose just one favorite memory of Megan, but I love seeing her surrounded by people who genuinely support her, like GloRilla, Latto, Beyoncé, and Cardi B. I also love the moments when she’s at her happiest—her smile and laugh are truly contagious.

One of the biggest reasons I love Megan is because she is unapologetically herself. She has such an amazing energy, and there’s something about her spirit that makes her so lovable. I’ve never understood the hate she gets because she is always her authentic self. I love her so much, and no matter what she’s writing about, her music is always fire. One day, she could be expressing her emotions, and the next, she’s talking about taking somebody’s daddy to the mall. Her versatility is unmatched.

One of my favorite memories of Megan was this past summer at the Hot Girl Summer tour in Houston, TX. I was able to give her the blue flowers I bought, and she told me they were her favorite color and called me a friend. As a longtime Hottie, that moment truly warmed my heart.

I love Megan because she stays true to herself, is a phenomenal lyricist and businesswoman, and never hesitates to speak up and fight for what she believes in. I first discovered her Last Week in HTX music video on YouTube after a difficult semester during my senior year of college, and her music empowered me to push through my depression and keep striving for a better future.

As a tall Black woman, I was often made fun of for my height, and my confidence was sometimes perceived as cockiness. Seeing Megan be unapologetic in her body, her words, and her actions continues to inspire me to do the same. She is truly a once-in-a-generation talent, and I’m so grateful that her light continues to shine despite everything she has been through. I truly love her, and I hope her 30s are filled with love, laughter, kindness, and abundance in every way.
